Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was violently assaulted inside his home Friday morning in San Francisco, according to a Pelosi spokesman and local police.

Somone broke into the Pelosi's home last night and beat Paul Pelosi in the head with a hammer.
The home is well known and not in a gated community or anything. They've lived there for well over 40 years since Nancy's days in SF local politics.
It was a single assailant. The suspect has been located and under arrest. SFPD, FBI and Capitol Police were all inovolved.

An assailant broke into the home, spokesman Drew Hammill said in a statement, adding that a suspect was in custody.

Paul Pelosi, 82, was attacked with a hammer, according to the NBC News investigative unit, citing two people with knowledge of the incident.

He was taken to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and undergoing brain surgery, according to NBC Bay Area's Investigative Unit, citing a hospital source. A source said earlier he was being treated for facial injuries and was in stable condition.

Unless this suspect was looking to burglarize it was probably targeted. Someone agains the Democrats and Nancy. They probably should have had security. Very high profile and they are worth big bucks. Not like some Senator or Representative from Nebraska who no one knows who they are or where they live.
